This logo + packaging design project was done for the fictional barber shop “Russian Barber.” For this assignment our challenge was to pull two words out of a hat, and based on our words, design a logo and simple packaging design. I pulled “Barber” and “Russian.” To achieve a design that conveyed a barber with Russian influence, I created a hand-done type face, and had the double S’s face each other to reference the famous points of St. Basil's Cathedral. The result was a unique and memorable logo which lends itself well to the simple line illustrations used in the final packaging.
